Engineering

Mr. Dempsey joined the Career Tech Center in 2021.
He earned a Master of Educational Leadership from American Intercontinental University and Bachelor degrees in Mathematics and Accounting. An educator since 1999, Mr. Dempsey has taught Accounting, Math, and Engineering on the Middle and High School levels.
Mr. Dempsey is a certified Texas Instruments Trainer and Master Teacher in Entrepreneurship and is Kuta Robotics and IC3 certified. He is a board member of the Mississippi Association of Educators, Regional Coordinator of the Technology Student Association (TSA), and an officer in the Mississippi Engineering Teaching Association (META).
Seeing the need for positive role male role models in education was a driving force in Mr. Dempsey’s decision to become an educator.
Mr. Dempsey believes that students who take the Engineering program should be prepared to compete globally in the Engineering field. Career and Technical Education provides an opportunity for to students to explore their passion in a career field that enables them to gain valuable first-hand experiences.
